Premier League Darts Preview & Predictions
The 2025 Premier League Darts arrives in Newcastle for Night 8, promising an electrifying evening at the Utilita Arena.
Luke Littler sits atop the table after winning Nights 2, 5 and 7, with Luke Humphries hot on his heels. Gerwyn Price is the only other player to register a night win so far, triumphing in Dublin and Nottingham. Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross round out the top five, while Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, and winless Stephen Bunting complete the lineup.
Littler kicks things off against Bunting, while the in-form Price looks for revenge against Rob Cross. Hometown favourite Chris Dobey meets world number one Humphries, and Michael van Gerwen faces Nathan Aspinall to round off the Quarter-Finals.

Bunting remains bottom with no wins, and his fixture list doesn’t get any easier here. Despite averaging over 100 in recent weeks, results haven’t followed.
Littler continues to shine and is a strong favourite here. Unless he has a rare off night, this looks like a straightforward win for the teenager.

Price (1.64) v Cross (2.16) – Revenge or Repeat? 🕖 19:45 UTC
Rob Cross stunned Cardiff with a last-leg 170 checkout to beat Gerwyn Price in a thriller last week. That win silenced the Welsh crowd and ended Price’s chance of snatching his third nightly prize.
Price will want payback and has been one of the stronger performers so far. Expect another tight one, but this time, I’m backing The Iceman to edge it.

Humphries (1.35) v Dobey (3.00)– Local Hero or World Number One? 🕗 20:15 UTC
Chris Dobey will have the home crowd fully behind him, but he’s got a tough task against Luke Humphries, who’s beaten him in four of their last five meetings.
Dobey will need to raise his level dramatically. Humphries looks too consistent right now.

Van Gerwen (1.50) v Aspinall (2.47) – Tight Battle Incoming 🕣 20:45 UTC
Michael van Gerwen showed flashes of brilliance last week, but he’s still searching for his first night win of the 2025 season. Aspinall, meanwhile, is always up for a scrap and can grind out wins.
This could go all the way, but MVG’s scoring power might just prove decisive.
