Saudi Arabian GP 2025 Tips: Piastri Primed for Another Win

Sunday | Jeddah Corniche Circuit | Formula 1
The F1 triple-header wraps up this weekend in Saudi Arabia, and after a thrilling Bahrain GP last week, the battle at the top of the standings is heating up. McLaren now boast the top two in the drivers’ standings, with Oscar Piastri just one point behind teammate Lando Norris.
Piastri Has the Momentum
Oscar Piastri heads into the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on a high after claiming victory in Bahrain- his second win in 4 races. The young Aussie is shaping up to be a genuine title contender, and he looks full of confidence heading into Jeddah.
He finished 4 places ahead of Norris in this race last year and even outqualified him, suggesting this is a track where Piastri feels comfortable. Until the new front-wing regulations kick in from the Spanish Grand Prix, I expect McLaren to continue dominating, and right now, Piastri looks like the man to beat.
He’s 2.25 to win the Saudi Arabian GP outright and looks a solid bet if he carries his current form into Sunday.
Red Bull Losing Grip
Max Verstappen’s 6th place finish in Bahrain last week raised serious questions about Red Bull’s current form. Mechanical issues and strategy woes have crept in, and for now, podium finishes may be the realistic target for the reigning champion.
Despite his struggles, Verstappen’s record in Saudi Arabia is exceptional: 2 wins and 2 second-place finishes from 4 races. He’s 2.10 to make the podium this weekend, which feels like strong value given Ferrari’s mixed form and Mercedes’ inconsistency, especially with George Russell yet to podium in Jeddah.
Saudi Arabian GP Race Winner Odds:
🏁 Lando Norris- 2.15
🏎️ Oscar Piastri– 2.25
🏁 Max Verstappen- 9.00
🏎️ George Russell- 12.00
With Ferrari still figuring things out and Red Bull looking vulnerable, this weekend could belong to McLaren again, and Piastri in particular.
