Tony Bellew on Fighting Chisora, ‘Insane’ AJ claim, Olympic Boxing Disgrace
Speaking to InstantCasino.com, Tony Bellew opened up on whether he would fight Derek Chisora after being called out. He also spoke about claims that Anthony Joshua is ducking Zhilei Zhang and revealed he was put in a headlock by a fan at a Manchester United game…
Bellew speaks about the controversy surrounding Olympic Gold Medalist Imane Khelif, revealing his thoughts on her situation.
The boxing legend also claims that it will be a disgrace if his sport is removed from the Olympics ahead of LA 2028.
See the full interview below.
Question: Team GB only won one boxing medal unfortunately, which was Lewis Richardson with the bronze. Do you think you should be disappointed or do you think that the judging was slightly questionable to say the least?
Tony Bellew: “I thought Big D (Delicious Orie), the super heavyweight, was very unlucky. I thought he was very unfortunate not to get the nod in that fight. Richardson’s done well getting a medal but then once again, I thought he could have gone further. This is the lowest number of medals we’ve had under the Robert McCracken era and I think he’s by far the greatest Olympic boxing coach that our country’s ever produced, his medal tally shows that.
“I think it’s just that Olympic boxing has always been a very political game and it’s always been that the right country gets the decision. There’s so many political gains behind Olympic boxing. I’m just hoping it continues and that we can clean it up a little bit more because reports are suggesting that this could be the final Olympics (that boxing will be a part of) that’s just gone. They think it’s not going to make it to LA 2028. It would be a disgrace if it is because, you know, your greatest sportsman ever have come from the the sport of boxing, Muhammad Ali is probably the most recognisable one, most well known face in all of sport, the history of all sports, Muhammad Ali is the most well known sporting figure of all time and he is that, the 1960 Olympic gold medalist in Rome. That’s what he was. How they can do away with the most famous sportsman of all time and how they can do away with the sport he’s come from is insane. I hope they think about what they’re doing and I hope they think about the lives it would affect if they take boxing away from the Olympic Games, because it would literally affect lives.
“There’s young lads now who are fighting for podium spots with the GB, fighting to get on the Olympic team, fighting to go for the Olympics, in the hope that they’re going to get to 2028. They want to be the next Muhammad Ali, they want to be the next Oscar De La Hoya, the next Lennox Lewis, the next Vladimir Klitschko, the next Audley Harrison, the next James DeGale, there’s so many of them, Anthony Joshua, there’s so many that roll off the tongue, your next Luke Campbell, there’s just so many, your next Amir Khan, all these great Olympians that we’ve had, these kids are striving to be the next one – because amateur boxing plays such a big pivotal role in our country and I just think it’s so important to keep the grassroots of boxing and this Olympic cycle in our reach. If we take away the Olympics for 2028, it would be an absolute travesty and it would destroy the grassroots of amateur boxing and that is the most important thing, because as I said, amateur boxing saves lives.”
Q: In terms of Olympic boxing we saw the controversy surrounding Imane Khelif being allowed to compete. We saw Laura Woods tweeting her support for an article about the situation and receiving death threats as a result, what did you make of it all?
TB: “I didn’t see that (Laura Woods tweet), so I’m new to it. I didn’t know the Khelif girl. Because there are so many conflicts, you can never go on social media to find the truth, that’s the bottom line. If you go on social media to find the truth, you’re going to find someone else’s spin, someone else’s agenda, and someone else’s narrative. Just find the truth. Just tell them the truth. At first I was told it’s a man fighting women and then when I thought, well that can’t be possibly right, that was sure it wouldn’t be allowed and then I seen the young girl on the news and she was in tears and I’m told by all accounts, by taking her opinion into account, she’s born a woman and she is a woman, but she has male hormones as well. The agenda is that she’s a female and she has female parts. So I don’t get that, that’s not her fault.”
I don’t think there’s any blame on her. I just think it’s confusion because she wasn’t allowed to fight in the World Championships. But now she’s allowed to fight in the Olympics. So people are questioning why there’s a difference in all of this.
TB: “Well, straightaway, if you’re born a woman, you’ll want to fight a woman, that’s very, very fair. I don’t care what your Testosterone levels are as long as she’s proven she’s a clean athlete, which she’s proven and she’s born a woman. She should be allowed to compete with women. One thing I don’t agree with is this transgender thing we’re going down where this person’s born a man and says ‘right I want to compete against women’. I’m not having that in any way, shape or form. I think that is very unfair. And I think we’ve got to get away from men and women being all one species. No we’re not, we’re different.
“I don’t understand that. The greatest tennis player ever in Serena Williams, she could not compete with a man on the tennis court who’s in the top 50. We’re different species. And I don’t say that to degrade women anyway, because my genuine thoughts, I believe women are better than men, stronger than us. If men gave birth, there wouldn’t be a baby in this world. I’ve witnessed it four times. And I would not do that for the life of me. So women, I’ve always believed the stronger, the better. The morals and the characteristics of a good, decent, strong woman are better than the man’s. But when it comes to sport and physicality, there is no comparison whatsoever. It would be unfair. I mean, if Mike Tyson was to come out tomorrow and say, ‘I now identify as a woman and I’m going to go in the heavyweight division.’ You would just go, ‘this is just wrong’. It’s what people want to identify. I’ve got no problem with whatever you want to identify as. That’s sound, you do that, but don’t force yourself on somebody else. I want to have some kind of physical combat or some kind of physical gains from what you’re identifying as. I disagree with that. Just protect the sport. It’s not about protecting women’s sport. Protect sport all together.”
Q: Should we talk about your fellow Liverpudlian Nick Ball? He’ll be making the first defence of his featherweight world title against Ronny Rios on the 5th of October. He’s doing the city proud. Do you think he’s going to have a long reign as champion?
TB: “I do. He’s absolutely phenomenal. I think Nick Ball is a quality fighter. I would probably go on record as saying he’s one of the fittest fighters this city’s ever produced. I’ve never seen a kid so fit. I know he owns all the CrossFit records in the gyms of the city. I know he’s a student of the game. He’s got a really good enthusiastic trainer, Paul Stevenson, at the Red Triangle. They’re pushing his limits and boundaries. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s the greatest boxer to ever come out of our city, because I give that accolade to John Conte, I give it time and time again, but he’s an unbelievably gifted fighter, and that’s what he is, he’s a fighter, from start to finish, this boy will put it on your toes, he will not stop, he’s relentless, he’s got the strength of an ox mate and a bull, he’s just, he’s so aggressive, and I just love his style, he’s a fans favourite to watch. And as I say, the city needs to get right behind him. We need him filling that Echo Arena. When he does fill that, you know, you’ll see he can turn this place into a little cauldron and he can really make a great atmosphere in there. So hopefully they back him and we see the best of him because I think he’s capable of unifying the division, if I’m totally honest. He’s got the beating of the other champions. And it’ll be great to see the rematch as well with (Rey) Vargas.”
Q: In terms of lifestyle outside the ring, we saw Terence Crawford saying recently ‘I’m kind of lame, I don’t gamble, I don’t party, I don’t drink, I’ve never smoked.’ Do you think lifestyle out of the ring has affected certain boxers in their career, and prevented them reaching their potential? And if so, who springs to mind?
TB: “100%, I mean, I’ve grown up. Fighting my whole life and I’ve been around fighters far more talented and better than me. There’s no point in dressing up in any other way. When I think about Liverpool, the first name that comes to mind is Joseph Selkirk. I think he’s the most naturally talented fighter. It’s unfair to say naturally talented. He worked hard as an amateur. He was unbelievably gifted. But outside lifestyles affect you and I just think he’d have been a multiple weight world champion and he’s the best kid i’ve ever seen.
“He was the Oscar De La Hoya from Liverpool. He had everything. An unbelievable fighter inside, could fight outside. Amazing footwork. He had the lot. He had a granite chin. There are so many, as I say, from the city Declan O’Rourke, who’s now assistant trainer to Joseph McNally. Joseph McNally was a brilliant fighter. He walked away from the professional game undefeated. He’s now one of the best coaches in the world. One of the best young coaches in the world. That’s just from my city. When I think on an international stage, when I turned pro, I went to Manchester and I took, uh, I was there for a couple of years and a couple of fighters followed me there.
“Frankie Gavin was one of them. Frankie Gavin’s a good mate of mine. I travelled the world with him as an amateur and then he followed me around as a pro a little bit. And he was unbelievably talented. If he could have controlled what went in his mouth. And the things that came out of his mouth, he’d be a different ball game now. People like to say he’s the lightest puncher they’ve ever felt, but I don’t care. His skill level was unprecedented. You know, he’s still to this day, the only British GB world amateur gold medalist. There hasn’t been another person who’s won gold at the World Championships. The World Championships is harder than the Olympics.
“You can go to the Olympics and you can get a half decent draw, you can get the right side and get to the medals, right? You go to the World Championships, you ain’t getting to the medals and getting an easy draw. In the last 16, you are hitting one of the big boys. Whether it’s Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Middle Eastern Boys, there is no escape. In the last 16 to win the gold at the World Championships, you are going through the top, top boys. He’s up there. Frankie Gavin for me, was such a talented boy.
“I was on the same team as Amir Khan for a bit as well when he came back from the Olympics in 2004, if I’m right in thinking it was the Athens Olympics, 2004. We fought together on the same England team that fought the USA. And Amir was just an unbelievably good fighter. He was the quickest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen anything as quick as that. And I’ve seen Floyd Mayweather fight up close. I’ve been this far away from watching him train.”
Q: Floyd Mayweather is in action this weekend against John Gotti 3. Why do you think he’s motivated to still be fighting at that age? Do you think he just can’t let go of the buzz or is it for the money?
TB: “If you pay him, he’s playing. Fair play to him. If people want to pay for that, then I don’t blame him. But I mean, he’s not in any kind of danger. He’s fighting someone who’s really had no kind of experience. He could probably go in there and beat this guy with one hand. And if anything, he’ll go in there and just want to play them. It’s just, it’s mindless. Fair play to him, each to their own. And good on him for making a few quid.”
Q: I’m not sure if we’ve spoken since Derek Chisora’s victory over Joe Joyce. And I know you’re not a huge fan of him continuing his career, but to be fair to him, what a win.
TB: “Yeah, I did predict he’d win. I’ve thought Joe Joyce has been done for a while. I don’t think he’ll ever recover from the Zhilei Zhang fight. Joe’s greatest asset is his durability. Joe’s greatest asset is his toughness and the way he takes punches, that’s gone. When you’re getting dropped in fights, it’s just time for him to stop because he’s so slow and so predictable.
“It’s just an accident waiting to happen. So I hope Joe walks away because I don’t want to see him get hurt. He’s a lovely man. A lovely, lovely fella. And the same goes for Derek. I love Derek. I mean, he’s just gotta stop saying my bleeding name.”
Q: I was going to ask you about that (Chisora calling TB out). Is he serious, do you think?
TB: “Of course he’s serious. He’s been saying to me for years, ‘we are fighting for my last fight, my 50th fight’. Me and Derek go back 20 years. Great mates. We’re really good mates. We’re family, our families are close and friends. He was at my wedding, he and his wife were on our table.
“He just, he’s got this thing in his head that we can have a fight and I’m just like, stop it. So we, I’ve missed a couple of FaceTime calls in the last few days. We spoke when I was on holiday. I literally woke him up after the Joe Joyce fight at eight in the morning to make sure he was feeling feeling okay, ‘how’s your head, everything okay?’.
“And he was okay. He’s all right. So I love Derek Chisora, but nothing is tempting me to fight him. Me putting 10 ounce gloves on and hitting Derek Chisora would not end well. It would not end well.”
Q: Do you think he should fight Johnny Fisher first?
TB: “No, absolutely not. Absolutely not, definitely not. I don’t want to see it. Johnny Fisher is a young, explosive heavyweight and that is the last thing someone like Derek Chisora needs. At the stage of his career where he’s at. That fight five years ago is a proper 50-50. That’s where Johnny Fisher finds out if he’s got it or not. But right now that’s just an, that’s an unfair match in my opinion. You’d see Derek take an awful lot of shots in that fight. Like Johnny’s a really exciting young heavyweight. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s the finished article, he’s far from it.
“But he’s someone I’m very excited about. He’s someone I rate really highly. Puts his punches together really well. And I think Mark Tibbs is doing a brilliant job. When you look at someone like Mark Tibbs, he’s got the knowledge and the expertise behind him and his father and so he can always be called upon, but he (Tibbs) is creating his own path, don’t get me wrong. He’s a brilliant trainer in his own right. The job he done with Dillian Whyte was fantastic. He took Dillian Whyte on a roll. Dillian Whyte was flying. He was doing great. They parted ways. He’s got Johnny Fisher, a young heavyweight. It’s a model he’s, he’s building on, it’s a working progress.
“I love the style of Johnny Fisher. I love the things he’s doing. I like the way he carries himself, and I say the job, the job Mark Tibbs is doing is fantastic, but I just feel as you go up through the levels, that’s when you start seeing that. This level now, he looks amazing, he looks like a world champion in the making, but trust me, as the levels go up, the game gets tougher, and the guys, as you go, as the levels increase, I think he’ll be relatively unscathed until he gets to the British title level and then I think then you’ll start seeing some hard nights and that’s where then you start going right. I know he’s got the character for it because I just know by the way he carries himself, I know by the things he does, the things he says, but you start to ask questions when him and someone like Fabio Wardley fight.
“Someone like David Adeleye because they’re just different opponents, they bring a different type of resolve and they’re not going to go down, they’re not going to fall. Alen Babic is a lovely fella, I mean he’s a hard nut to crack, but he’s not a heavyweight. He’s a cruiserweight at best. I said it live on the DAZN before the fight kicked off and the producer was down me ear. I said, ‘I’m going to say two lines, I don’t want to say one, it’s disrespectful to Babic’. As soon as Johnny touched Alen Babic, I knew it was over, and I had a chat with Alen after the match, and I said ‘I didn’t mean to be disrespectful, but I’m just saying exactly what I’m noticing now. You’re not a heavyweight mate.’ He will give any cruiserweight a cracking fight, but he won’t do anything in the heavyweight division.”
Q: What do you think of Terry Lane’s claim that it’s the worst kept secret in boxing that Anthony Joshua is refusing to fight Zhilei Zhang?
TB: “He’s not refusing to fight him, that is absolutely insane. This fella fought Oleksandr Usyk twice off his own back by the way, the first time he didn’t have to even entertain anything, he could have dodged it by a mile and if I was managing him I’d have advised him to dodge it as well, to be honest. (Zhelei) Zhang is there to be hit. Anyone who’s there to be hit against Anthony Joshua is most likely going to lose. I remember speaking to Eddie (Hearn) about this fight after he lost the rematch to Usyk and I was thinking that Zhang was a big deal in Asia, but he’s actually not, which I can’t get my head around – a Chinese heavyweight should be huge, he’s fighting over here for a reason because no one cares over there. If you look at someone like Naoya Inoue, he’s huge and they’re paying big money for his opponents to go over there (to Japan) – I know what they’re paying because I know some of the lads who have fought him. I don’t know what it is with Zhelei Zhang. But for Anthony Joshua, Anthony Joshua dodges no one. This is the guy who went in against (Wladimir) Klitschko when he didn’t have to go against Klitschko, when he was very inexperienced. The same guy who fought another world champion in Joseph Parker when he didn’t need to. He always takes the risk and he always wants to roll with it. Also, people forget this – he’s the guy who signed up to face Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury pulled out. He’s the guy who signed to face Deontay Wilder. Deontay Wilder pulled out. Everyone forgets this. He signs to fight everyone. It’s always on the other part that it falls through, so it won’t have anything to do with Joshua that the Zhang fight isn’t happening. I don’t think it’ll be anything to do with Eddie because ultimately all it comes down to is his excellency, Turki Alalshikh. If he wants to make the fight, believe you me, it’s happening. But the fight that makes the most sense right now is the one that’s happening, it’s Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua. It’s a British showdown, it’s massive, it’s huge domestically, it’s at Wembley, and it’s got all the hallmarks to be one of the really great fights.”
Q: Daniel Dubois says that beating Anthony Joshua will ‘make him legit champion’ and that he is ‘after a stoppage win’. Do you think he truly believes he will beat AJ?
TB: “He believes it 100%, especially on the roll that he’s on at the minute. Daniel Dubois is on a fantastic roll. I think he’s been a revelation under Don Charles. I think Don Charles has done an unbelievable job with him. He’s done the best job yet so far. He trained Derek Chisora for a long period of his career. I just think someone like Don has been able to get into Daniel Dubois’ mindset. I think even though he’s had brilliant trainers – because I rate Shane McGuigan – Shane and I don’t really see eye to eye, but that still doesn’t detract from the fact I think he’s a brilliant coach. I think he brings the best. I thought the job he was doing with Laurence Okolie, he was improving vastly. I thought he’d done a brilliant job there. The jobs he did from scratch with the likes of Carl Frampton and Josh Taylor, you can’t knock them. The job he did with George Groves. He’s done unbelievably well. Now, I don’t think he’s a very good manager. I think he’s dreadful as a manager, if I’m being totally honest with you and I base that purely on the decision he made when Anthony Fowler chose to box Liam Smith – and I base it that decision of why would you choose a fighter to fight someone in that position for what you’ve done? We had a chat backstage after it, and he was like, ‘I thought he could beat him,’ and I was like, ‘on what planet did you think he was going to win?’ So we have spoken, Shane and I, like I said, as a trainer, I think he’s one of the best young trainers in the world as a boxing coach, standalone. I don’t think he should be anywhere near management, but I think he’s a brilliant boxing coach. Don’t do too much, each job for each person. But when it comes to Don Charles, I just think he’s synced so well with Daniel Dubois and it’s crossed over to Daniel Dubois now because he’s so confident. He seems to have let a few demons go. I think it was the Kevin Lerena fight where he gets dropped three times and he gets up. That fight for me may have been the turning point. Don’t get me wrong, Kevin Lerena is only a cruiserweight but at the same time he had to get off the floor on multiple occasions, ask questions of himself again, and he answered them. I think that’s given him a new lease of life and confidence to tell himself because, there’s no way of dressing this up – he quit against Joe Joyce and he quit against Oleksandr Usyk as well. There’s no other way of getting around that but the fact that he’s been able to take them losses, take them Ls and come back, it speaks volumes. I think that going to Don Charles helped reset his mentality. So I give Don Charles all the credit in the world and I give Daniel Dubois all the credit in the world. I think Daniel must think I don’t like him. I think he’s a lovely kid and I think he’s a vastly improved fighter. The only thing I don’t think is that everything he’s good at, Anthony Joshua is better. I’ll be amazed if it gets to round three, I’ll be shocked if it gets past three rounds but if it does go past three then Daniel’s durability, endurance and fitness will really test Joshua. Make no mistake, Anthony Joshua is a better athlete, a better boxer, all that. In every department, he’s a little bit better. The only thing we are yet to see is, can he endure the punishment Daniel Dubois can? We haven’t seen that because no one’s been able to give that punishment out to Anthony Joshua without receiving something back. Daniel Dubois is going to be there in the firing line, he’s gonna be there to be hit and I think Anthony Joshua will show him.”
Q: Tommy Fury announced his breakup with Molly-Mae last week, do you think he will focus on his boxing career now?
TB: “I have no clue. Have they got a baby? I really hope they work it out but that’s not big news to me.”
Q: Mike Tyson says he is fully recovered from his ulcer flare up and ready to make Jake Paul run like a thief. What do you think his motivation is for this fight?
TB: “He doesn’t want to hurt anyone. If you’ve seen the face off yesterday with the pushing and shoving – it’s a laugh, it’s a joke. This is purely money involved. Purely money motivated.”
Q: Devin Haney was filmed throwing a punch at someone at a fairground. Were you ever provoked into fighting a member of the public once you became well known?
TB: “Yeah, that’s happened to me before. Someone tried to get me in a headlock while my children were with me at a football match. We were at a Man United game a few years ago and a guy tried to get me in a headlock. He asked for the picture. I said, of course, no problem. So the two of them stood next to me, he put his arm around me and he just tried to get me in a headlock. So I just grabbed him and threw him on the floor and held him there for a couple of seconds and told him, ‘if you ever put your hands on me again, you’re going to be sorry,’ and that was the end of it. It was in front of my kids, so it wasn’t nice.”
Q: Chris Eubank Jr hasn’t fought since September 2023.. He said Ben Whittaker wasn’t on his radar but wouldn’t rule out fighting him one day? Would that fight get your juices flowing?
TB: “Definitely, that would be a really exciting fight. I just don’t think Chris Eubank Jr. is a light heavyweight to be totally honest. I think he’s a middleweight at best, super middleweight at the biggest push ever. He’s really a super middleweight. He goes up and down in divisions, I think he wants to float between different divisions in order to be able to make the best, biggest and easiest fights happen in his favour and that’s what he does. I think once he finds any kind of test, he’s not going to go anywhere near it again. He’s won one with Liam Smith. Why won’t he have the third and settle and fight with Liam Smith? Because it’s quite clear to see that Liam Smith wasn’t right in that rematch and I think he should entertain the third fight just to put it to bed.”
Q: British cruiserweight Aloys Junior has 7 consecutive KOs and his punching power has seen him compared to Mike Tyson. Have you seen him box? He’s trained by Ben Davison?
TB: “Don’t go off those machines, unless it’s proper and been calibrated correctly you can never take those machines seriously. My best friend was a professional footballer, Neil Danns and every time we went on those punch machines he beat me! Every single time.”
Q: Premier League gameweek 2 predictions?
Brighton vs Manchester United:
TB: “That’s a tough game. I’ll go 1-1.”
Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton:
TB: “I’m praying for the 0-0.”
Crystal Palace vs West Ham:
TB: “I think West Ham have done some really good business. I couldn’t believe they parted ways with David Moyes after winning a European trophy. He did an amazing job at West Ham and I was telling a Hammers fan be careful what you wish for. They’ve made some really smart signings this summer. I’ll go 2-1 to West Ham.”
Southampton vs Nottingham Forest:
TB: “3-2 to Southampton.”
Fulham vs Leicester City:
TB: “2-0 to Fulham.”
Manchester City vs Ipswich Town:
TB: “It’s time to get Haaland on triple captain in fantasy football. It depends on if Phil Foden is fully fit, they’re on a hiding to nothing. Ipswich could be last season’s Luton. I don’t want to wish that on them (5-0 to City), but they’re on a hiding to nothing.”
Aston Villa vs Arsenal:
TB: “That’s a really good one, Mikel Arteta’s first test of the season. Unai Emery is a brilliant coach, he’s done a marvellous job at Aston Villa. I’m gonna go with Arsenal to win 2-0. William Saliba is quality.”
Bournemouth vs Newcastle:
TB: “Bournemouth’s not an easy place to go to but Newcastle are a really good outlet, how Arsenal haven’t snapped Alexander Isak up is beyond me. Why they haven’t gone all out for Isak or Ivan Toney, I don’t know. If Toney goes to Saudi Arabia, it’s insane. How anyone’s willing to take Dominic Solanke over Toney or Isak is nuts. I’ll go 2-0 to Newcastle.”
Wolves vs Chelsea:
TB: “Wolves aren’t a bad side, they set up and attack well. Chelsea have about six different teams they can put out. It’s absolutely nuts, I just don’t know what is going on at Chelsea. I saw Todd Boehly walking out of the stadium yesterday when the second goal went in, no one can compete with Man City so I don’t know what he was expecting. Especially with a team as inexperienced as the one he’s got. They’ve changed manager I don’t know how many times, he’s letting English players leave because he knows it’s a maximum profit sustainability. It’s huge. It’s smart what he’s doing, but ultimately I think he’s going to run them into the ground. It’s very similar to the horrific job that’s been done at Everton and I think he’s going to fall on his own sword because Chelsea just can’t keep going the way they’re going. I don’t fancy Chelsea at all, but they have got quality in the squad. I’ll go with a score draw.”
Liverpool vs Brentford:
TB: “They (Liverpool) look okay. I just think there’s a lot of uncertainty at Liverpool at the minute. We need to see what this (Arne) Slot’s got and we need to see how he’s going to adapt to life in the Premier League. I mean, (Mohamed) Salah, you talk about one of the most prolific forwards in the world. You talk about one of the best defenders and one of the best keepers in the world in Alisson and Virgil van Dijk. The best of the best. The highest assisting full-back in Trent Alexander-Arnold. This is a kid who’s going to be playing in midfield on a regular basis soon but they’ve also got a lot of questions to answer on new contracts, Salah’s up, Van Dijk’s up, Trent’s at the end of this year. They could all be leaving. They can all sign new contracts with new clubs in January. And if that spine goes, that club goes. I don’t care who they bring in, but you cannot replace them. I don’t care who’s in the background. My little nephew plays for them, Jayden Danns. He’s exceptional. He’s going to be a future star at Liverpool. He’s scoring goals already, he’s only just turned 18. He scored a couple against Southampton, he was unbelievable. 6ft 1, amazingly talented, he plays in the 10. I’ll go with Liverpool to beat Brentford comfortably, they look like they’re defending well at the minute. The Dutch always do.”
